PRC announces that 25 out of 42 passed the August 2013 Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination given in the cities of Manila and Davao from August 10 to 12, 2013. Topnotchers, list of passers, school performances and registration & oathtaking guidelines are posted here.
The members of the Board of Metallurgical Engineering are Agustin M. Fudolig, Chairman and Juancho Pablo S. Calvez, Member.
The three-day examination was held in two venues, PRC-Manila and PRC-Davao using the Walk-in Examination System (WES). The WES is a user friendly, desktop, windows-based and competency-based computerized testing system that will enable an applicant to take a licensure examination anytime, anywhere.

Performance of Schools
Registration and Oathtaking
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Monday, August 19, 2013 but not later than August 29, 2013.
Registration for membership with the Society of Metallurgical Engineers of the Philippines (SMEP) will be on August 31, 2013.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
- duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
- latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula);
- metered documentary stamp for the Oath Form; and
- the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2013-2016. Successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

OATHTAKING SCHEDULE
The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon at Gabaldon Room, Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila or on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon at Cheradel Suites, Iligan City.
